Editing

As it is the last day of school I decided to use my time to complete as much editing as possible. Though I only had a few hours today, I spent my time wisely and got done as much as I could. I chose the clips I wanted to use and dragged them together to create my incomplete rough cut.

Upload and Editing

Today I spent my free periods importing my video clips from the handy cam to the laptop I am using to edit my movie (on iMovie). I went through each clip and used the crop tool to crop the clips I was sure I didn’t need. For future requirements I stored the unwanted clips on the side. I labelled the clips I want to use for my product to make it easier to understand when I edit later.

Filming (home shots)

Today was the first day of filming. I decided to film all shots that were required within the bungalow in the school site. The bungalow was appropriate as it had a mise-en-scene of a home. I filmed in a variety of rooms in the bungalow to get the best shots I could use. The actors had multiple costume changes which were arranged, and all the shots were completed, I also had a chance to film the shots from different angles and lengths which I could possibly use later in editing.

Today I spent my time taking photos of my two characters together. The photos I took were for my scrapbook that will be then used for my film poster. I also took some pictures that may be used for my film magazine cover.
